North Sea Coastal Bathing Resort Minsen-Förrien

Minsen-Förrien is an ideal resort for all those who prefer to spend their holiday in somewhat more tranquil countryside surroundings.

The many facilities of the North Sea Health Spa of Horumersiel-Schillig are but a few kilometres distant and the fine beach at Schillig is no more than a few minutes bicycle ride away. The Visitors' House with its reading and concert rooms is also the home of a Wadden Sea Exhibition that is well worth a visit and a separate area with information about the use of wind energy. Right next to this, standing on the highest point of the resort, is the centuries old church, which used to serve as a landmark for seafarers. Immediately at the town gates there is a Nature Conservation Area forming part of the core protection zone of the Niedersachsen Wadden Sea National Park. "Elizabethaussengroden" may only be entered along specially marked paths. Here there are frequent conducted tours.
